A project grounded in the property
A closer look at how the brief is developed
Some projects arrive with plans and a finish schedule; others begin with phone photographs. Both can progress well when the assumptions are made visible early.
The first message does not need to be technical
A sketch is welcome, but it is not compulsory. Current drawings, finish intent, programme dates and known access constraints usually reveal enough to separate the immediate need from ideas that can wait.
If several people use the room, we record the disagreement as well as the shared priorities. It is better to resolve that tension in the layout than during fitting.
Geometry becomes useful when the brief is clear
An early width and height can rule out the wrong approach without pretending to be a workshop survey. Once the layout is credible, we verify the walls, levels and fixed elements that affect manufacture.
We distinguish a dimension used to explore an idea from one released to the workshop. That small discipline prevents an early estimate from quietly becoming a production instruction.
A sample should answer the room
A convincing sample is one that still makes sense beside the floor, doors and light that will remain. We also confirm what supports it, how edges are finished and which hardware carries the load.
We may recommend spending more on runners or hinges and less on a fashionable outer surface. The choice depends on which part carries the daily work.
Access is part of the design
For an address in Dénia, we confirm how protected parts will move from the vehicle to their final position. This can change carcass divisions while leaving the visible composition calm.
We also confirm where packaging and offcuts can be handled. It is a small logistical question with a noticeable effect on a tidy fitting day.
The budget follows the agreed scope
